The distinguishing feature of this knife is its Micarta handle, resin-compressed fabric and its main feature is its half ferrule, making cutting and sharpening easier.

The handle is ergonomic and the bolster is rounded. Also the bluish tones make this handle especially noteworthy.

It is a forged knife, which means it has been subjected to a forging process which consists of heating the steel until it is red hot and can be shaped into a solid single-piece knife.
